R. Kelly is moving out of his Chicago recording studio after being hit

Troubled singer R. Kelly is moving out of his Chicago recording studio after being hit with court-ordered restricted access.

On Wednesday, Feb. 20, Kelly’s lawyers Melvin Sims and Steven Greenberg disclosed to TMZ that the singer is being forced to leave his infamous studio after sanctions put in place by a judge have stopped his “creative juices.”

According to city inspectors, the studio where Kelly recorded “Ignition,” “Step in The Name Of Love,” and “Trapped in the Closet” has had it working hours limited due to a litany of building code violations.

This has led to a 9 p.m. curfew that Kelly says is limiting his “musical innovation.” As a result, he is looking for another place to set up shop.
