Live Updates: Chelsea 1 – 0 Liverpool.

There are strong indications that Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho may likely kiss his job goodbye should nothing short of three points come their way today, October 31, when they lock horns with rival Liverpool at the Stamford Bridge.

After suffering their fifth top-flight defeat this season away to West Ham last Saturday, defending Capital One Cup champions Chelsea were knocked out of the tournament by Stoke City on penalties three days later.

To compound the club, and indeed Mourinho’s woes, the FA handed the Portuguese tactician and his assistant Silvino Louro a misconduct charge following the pair’s dismissals at Upton Park while both Chelsea and West Ham were charged for failing to control their players during the game.

Mourinho, though, is expected to still be present on the touchline when the Blues host Liverpool at Stamford Bridge today.

It will however be a herculean task for the Portuguese as he will come up against Jurgen Klopp’s team, who is still searching for his first league win after joining the team last month.

This game promises to be cracker and will be bringing you live coverage of the game.

It’s has been an eventful and most memorable opportunity to serve my country with pride, passion and to contribute my quota to the development of our football, the memories would stay with me for a long time and I’m immensely grateful. It is now time to concentrate on Club football and give the younger players chance to learn and grow.

I would love to thank the NFF, coach Gernot Rohr for believing in me against all odds,to my teammates for their professionalism and team spirit without you guys I wouldn’t have achieved so much with this team.
