Geri Halliwell Says Mel. B’s Revelation They Had Sex During Their Spice Girls Days Was ‘Very Hurtful to Her Family’

via Complex:

With the help of spokesman Alan Edwards, Geri Halliwell released a statement to USA Today, where she set the record straight for her fans as well as the reporting publications.

“[Halliwell] would like you to know that what has been reported recently is simply not true and has been very hurtful to her family,” Edwards explained to USA Today.

“It has been very disappointing to read about all these rumors again.”

Halliwell’s statement is in response to fellow Spice Girl Mel B (Scary Spice)’s recent interview with Good Morning Britain’s Piers Morgan. During their conversation, Morgan resurfaced the popular 90s rumor that Brown and Halliwell were a little more than best friends.

This led Brown to allege that she and Halliwell did have sex one time “in the past” that the two laughed off.

Halliwell’s domestic hurt was a casualty Mel B mentioned during her appearance on Good Morning Britain.

Before disclosing her supposed one-night stand with Halliwell, Brown did her very best to avoid the question.

She even looked to another Spice Girl, Mel C, who was in the audience to help her evade the topic.

After unsuccessfully downplaying her platonic friendship with Ginger Spice, Mel B let it be known that Halliwell will be mad she revealed this to the public.

“She’s going to hate me for this because she’s all posh in a country house with her husband,” Brown told Morgan.

“But it was all in the past. It just happened, we just giggled at it and that was it. We were best friends. It just happened.”

“If You’re Dating A Lawmaker, Talk To Your Boo” – Etinosa

Social media influencer and filmmaker, Etinosa Idemudia has encouraged anyone in the reach of communication with elected personnel in the government should help in the cause of #EndSARs protest.

The #EndSARs movement that has been on since Thursday sprung as a result of incessant harassment and extortion of Nigerian youths by men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squads, SARs.

Etinosa in a post via Instagram advised that those who have connections with lawmakers in the country should do their best in lending a voice on the #EndSARs protest.

“As a holier than thou nation I know we don’t like this particular topic but it may be an underrated source of the solution.

“While protestors are on the street doing what they know best, we who have bottom power should please use it too. We must not spare any avenue to bring a lasting solution to police brutality as it affects us all.

“Having said this, please, if you know you are married/dating an elected or appointed leader or law maker please we know ourselves, please talk to your boo. Let’s all talk to our boo. Be like Esther in the Bible. Our solution may be in the middle. Cheers.” She wrote.
