Amber Rose Defends Kanye West in Taylor Swift Feud: ‘I Know Kanye Would Never Go Through That Again’

Amber Rose may not be best friends with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, but she is taking their side when it comes to the drama with Taylor Swift.

When Kanye jumped on stage and snatched the mic from Taylor at the MTV Video Music Awards back in 2009, Amber Rose was by his side. On Friday’s episode of ‘The Amber Rose Show,’ she insists that Kanye would never subject himself to the backlash he faced the first time he crossed Taylor — so she believes he DID get her approval for the “Famous” lyrics.

via NY Daily News:

“So, I’m not the biggest fan of Kanye,” she kicked off her shocking defense on her Friday episode of “The Amber Rose Show.”

“But I was next to him at the VMAs that year … I remember the repercussions after that,” she continued.

The 32-year-old is clearly referring West’s infamous interruption of Swift at the 2009 Video Music Awards.

“I remember Taylor’s mother and father coming up to us and saying, ‘One day Kanye, you’ll have a daughter and somebody is going to do that to you,’” she recalled.

“He was so remorseful. I mean he really felt so bad, because it wasn’t about Taylor. It was about Beyoncé and her video … he didn’t want to interrupt Taylor — he didn’t even know who she was at the time,” she added.

The backlash of the stage-jumping moment, she said, led to stars boycotting Yeezy’s work.

“I watched Lady Gaga cancel the tour. I watched people say that they did not want to work with him anymore because of it,” she explained.

“I know that Kanye would never ever go through that again by not calling Taylor and say, ‘Heads up, I’m about to go write this verse real quick. Just wanted to make sure you’re cool with it.’ I know that about Kanye,” she said.

We’re surprised Amber even weighed-in on the Kanye situation in the first place.
